We believe what you breathe is just as important as what you eat when it comes to your health. We’ve made it our mission to create clean burning candles with simple, all-natural ingredients. Each of the ingredients used in our candle making process were hand-selected after careful research, including beeswax, coconut oil, natural essential oils, and wood wicks. You won’t find any petroleum byproducts, stabilizers, fragrance oils, or harmful dyes in our products. We’re proud to stand behind our truly non-toxic candles.

So what exactly will you find in our candles? If you ask the majority of candle companies this question, the sad truth is many don't actually know the answer. Because we use only the simplest and purest ingredients, we are proud to know exactly what we are selling.

BEESWAX
We use only pure beeswax that is naturally refined to remove its yellow color.

COCONUT OIL
Our pure expeller pressed coconut oil is sustainably sourced from Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia and is the perfect creamy base to hold our essential oils.

PURE ESSENTIAL OILS
Our therapeutic grade essential oils are sourced from ethical producers around the world. Truly from nature, defined by the Oxford dictionary as “ a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic fragrance of the plant or other source from which it is extracted." The essential oils are generally collected through a distillation process that carefully separates the essential oil from the flowers, needles, twigs, fruit peels, seeds or roots where it is found.

5:23 Scents You Love, Now Ready To Diffuse

We started 5:23 with the goal of creating safe, all-natural products from high-quality ingredients. Because traditional fragrance oils contain harmful chemicals, we decided to use pure essential oils scent our candles. Many of our customers who enjoyed our candles asked if our scents were available as essential oils. We’re happy to share our new product line: Essentials by 5:23.

Just like our candles, our essential oils are made from natural, non-toxic ingredients. Know that you're scenting your home with safe products that won’t harm you or your family!

Diffusing Our Essential Oils In Your Home

Essentials by 5:23 are therapeutic grade, pure, and undiluted. They are formulated for use in a diffuser. We recommend using an ultrasonic oil diffuser for our essential oils.

Because ultrasonic diffusers don’t use heat, the essential oils released by this type of diffuser are not denatured. Instead, the oil is carried in small water droplets as a fine mist. You can view our FAQs page to learn more about using our essential oils.
